But for this Id need to know what are their names. You should set the BarColor option on them, to the desired color. On the posted code I dont see the bar meters. This means that if you dont set a certain color, the bars will be green. This requires graphs that can show up to 8 or more cores. Green is the default color for bar meters. For me since its 6 core processor 6 threads it takes up about 5 which is not that big of a deal to me.However, on low end laptops it could go as high as 20 which might be a big deal. Nowadays, a lot of us are running the new i7s, and soon, AMDs Bulldozer. If its more than a few dozen MB, somethings amiss. It's actually a bit unfortunate that the name used is CoreTemp2.dll, as I can see some confusion with the CoreTemp program, and the CoreTemp plugin included with Rainmeter. One thing Ive noticed is a lot of cpu graphs for rainmeter in general are for dual cores and maybe a quad. The Program Files location for Rainmeter is intended for items distributed with Rainmeter, and nothing else, unless you are running Rainmeter in "portable" mode.īut for those who have Intel, and simply want to display the CPU temperature and no other sensor information, this might be a nice alternative. This way I can display my temp in a very simple manner such as 37C/54C (for current/max). I strongly recommend that this NOT be installed in the Plugins folder under the Rainmeter program folder if you have a standard installation, but installed in %APPDATA%\Rainmeter\Plugins. Alright so what I have is the temp reading for each core, and what I want to do is record the highest value that reaches and then save it, and update it anytime the current temp exceeds it. It has to be manually installed, as Rainmeter has no ability to distribute anything other than a single 32bit/64bit. It has some limitations, in that it is only for Intel CPU's, and it makes me a bit nervous to distribute Ring0 system drivers. This plugin does not require that CoreTemp.exe be installed or running. Does this plugin has any advantages in front of the built-in plugin?
